Comparing and Explaining Experiences of "Presences" (spiritual or not): A case study in bridging between the humanities and the sciences
This talk uses a collaborative Templeton-funded project, titled "Perceiving Divine Presences," to illustrate how a building block approach can facilitate collaboration between researchers in the humanities and the sciences. The talk will focus on designing surveys that simultaneously reflect the breadth and complexity of human experience evident to scholars in the humanities and the specificity and focus required by researchers in the sciences.
