Grace Ramswick

Grace began studying Sanskrit literature and Indic religious traditions at UC Berkeley, where she completed her B.A. in Religious Studies in 2011. Her doctoral research focuses primarily on the production of manuscripts and art in the Buddhist communities of Gandhāra in the early centuries of the Common Era. Some of her broader interests include: the use of narrative techniques in oral and written Buddhist literatures; the transmission of Buddhism to China and Central Asia; and modern discourses on the “legacy” of Gandhāra among scholars, Buddhist communities, and the general public.
