Oriane Lavolé is a PhD candidate in Religious Studies, focusing on Tibetan Buddhism and Religion and Ecology. Her research focuses on the relationship to place and the role of land-based practices in the Tibetan tradition of treasure revelation. More broadly, Oriane is interested in the intersections of religious thought and practice and environmental concerns, as well as the application of Buddhist teachings to contemporary issues.
