Lanai Huddleston

Lanai Huddleston is a philosopher, historian, archivist, and curator from New Orleans, Louisiana. Lanai is broadly interested in occult studies and material cultures. Her research currently focuses on Hoodoo, rootwork, conjure, and the associated spiritual economies, with an emphasis on the circulation of spiritual goods and services in African American communities from the nineteenth century onward. Lanai graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC in 2021 where she received a bachelor’s in Philosophy as well as History with a concentration in pre-law.
